Signature treatment · Ozone
Don’t cover the smell. Break it down.
Air fresheners sit on top of an odour. Ozone reacts with it — in the vents, the headliner and the carpet underlay — and breaks the molecules apart. It’s how we treat smoke, pet and damp smells in the bay, and the same generator is on our shelf.
How it works
O₃: oxygen with an extra atom it wants to get rid of.
Normal oxygen is two atoms (O₂). An ozone generator uses an electrical discharge to make O₃ — an unstable molecule that hands its third atom to whatever it meets. When it meets an odour molecule or a mould spore, that reaction breaks the molecule apart.
Because ozone is a gas, it gets everywhere air does: inside the ventilation, into the foam of the seats, behind the trim. Once it’s done, the leftover ozone reverts to ordinary oxygen. Nothing is left behind to mask anything.
What it treats
The smells that came with the car.
Cigarette smoke
Tar and smoke compounds soaked into the headliner and seat foam.
Pet odour
Wet-dog and urine smells that live in carpet underlay.
Damp & mould smell
Musty air from a leaky seal, sunroof drain or a soaked carpet after a storm.
Food & milk spills
Sour, rotten smells long after the spill was wiped up.
Aircon must
The vinegar smell on first start — treated by running the aircon on recirculate during the cycle.
Gym kit, rentals, Uber cars
High-traffic cabins that need a periodic reset.
Safety protocol
Five rules. No exceptions.
This is the exact protocol we follow in the bay and on the mobile unit — and the one printed in the box with every generator we sell.
- 01
Source clean first
Remove the cause: vacuum, shampoo the spill, dry the carpet. Ozone finishes the job; it can’t remove a dirty nappy from under a seat.
- 02
Empty the space
No people, no pets, no plants. Remove sensitive rubber or leather items you’re precious about.
- 03
Seal & set the timer
Windows closed, aircon on recirculate briefly to draw ozone through the ducts. Typical car cycle: 30–60 minutes.
- 04
Dwell
Keep it closed for at least 30 minutes after the generator stops. Ozone naturally reverts to oxygen.
- 05
Air out
Open every door for 30+ minutes before anyone gets in. A faint “after-storm” smell is normal and fades quickly.
Ozone safety: unoccupied spaces only — no people, pets or plants. Run on a timer, keep the space closed to dwell, then air out fully before use. Ozone neutralises odours; it is not a medical treatment.

Questions
Ozone, honestly.
Is ozone harmful?
Ozone is a lung irritant at the concentrations used for odour treatment. That’s why it is only ever used in an empty space, on a timer, with a dwell and air-out period afterwards. Used that way, nobody breathes it.
Will it damage my car?
Short, correctly-timed treatments are safe for modern interiors. Repeated long exposures can age rubber seals, which is why we treat once, properly, rather than routinely.
Does it disinfect or kill viruses?
We sell and offer ozone for odour and mould-smell treatment only. We make no medical, health or disinfection claims.
How long does the smell take to go?
Most odours are gone after one treatment. Heavy, long-term smoke may need a second session on another day.
